Trying to find the name of a break

Postby CASH » Thu Aug 28, 2014 7:33 pm

Back when Jerry Bloodrock was on WHBI, he used to cut up a gogo break. Sounded like it could be Trouble Funk, but it wasn't Pump me Up or anything on any break beat album. The start of the break had an organ sound in it, then the gogo drums.

Since the days of Napster, I have bought and downloaded every gogo song I could, trying to find this beat. If anybody has any idea, I would really appreciate it.

That description is very vague, and the only distinctive thing to really go on is that it's a go-go break. The best thing to do trawl Youtube for Trouble Funk, EU, Arkade Funk and others as there are a multitude of breaks in go-go, it's really the only decent genre from the 80s where non-electronic breaks can be found. Might want to try whosampled.com as well.
