Damn, I thought I was the only one who knew that! But have you got the vinyl, Ramses? WAPOW! :D

Great, great thread and as I'm a big Steinski fan these sample sources are my thang!

Some from the Lessons:

".........a programme of dance music" - Orson Welles - War Of The Worlds Radio Play

"And say children, what does it all mean?" - New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia reads Dick Tracy and Little Orphan Annie comics over the air during a newspaper deliverymen's strike. Go to 1min 25.

"Brothers and Sisters......I don't know what this world is coming to" - Taken from the intro to The Soul Children on the Wattstax album

A bit of shameless self-promotion here...
I put this up on my blog earlier in the year with all the samples. Listen to it here http://repo136.blogspot.com/2009/02/bre ... rt_17.html

Just listened to this and found all those Fresh Mess samples. Also, surprisingly, found "The countdown is progressing" from S*Express "Theme From S*Express" (13.56).
Well done, totally-obscure-record-finding-fella! :D

Repo - Good shout on the S-Express....and is there the sound of an apple being bitten into from UTFO Bite It not long after that segment?

I always believed that the UTFO - Bite It sample was made by their manager at the time, im sure it states it on the rear of the alblum.... now wheres my anorak, this is major insignificent detail I know but hey....

I don't think it is the same sound, Craig. The UTFO bite is much 'crispier' to my ears. But maybe that was down to studio processing. Although it was 1985...did they have such advanced gear? Anyhoo I've put the 2 samples side-by-side so's you can decide for yourself right here http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=9c07 ... f6e8ebb871

Anorak? Make mine a gold one...... :)

EDIT2: Gaaaah!! Just listened to the 2nd track The Origin Of Captain Jan and there's more!!

The only one I can thin of right now is this easy one

Does anybody know where all of the laughing and "oh no they're going at it again/sorry boys this is too much" comes from at the beginning of Dynamixx II's "Give The DJ a Break"?
And how about "That's my man throwin' down"?
Mike Cheque y'all...yes the "M" to the "C"
