Rank Your Top 3 Record Label Logos

Postby djairmax » Tue Aug 30, 2016 11:34 pm

Was just wondering what everybody's favorite record label logo is. I've always thought Def Jam had the tightest-looking logo - very clean and precise and represented one of the essential aspects of hip hop, the DJ. Tuff City had a very attention-grabbing logo, from the wild color scheme (orange, fuscia, etc.) to the fist busting through whatever it was (wall, paper, etc.) Cutting Records also had a first-class logo with the saw blade - looked very cool as it rotated on the turntable.

What are your top 3? And why? There are a number of good ones out there.

My 3 favorite logo's are:

1. Tommy Boy (B-Boy figure)
2. Sugarhill (Rainbow colors and the letters)
3. Def Jam (The old logo with the turntable)
I'm not from the Bronx, but I still Boogie Down
